Atlanta artist Scott Ingram has a diverse practice that includes painting, drawing, and sculpture, as well as producing furniture and design products. All are connected by his process of abstracting the real and reducing his subjects to their most essential elements. Ingram’s nail polish series reflects his interest in the Minimalist tradition of line, drawing, and mark making.  With the aid of gravity and a certain element of chance, Ingram’s smooth, color saturated lines unwittingly define the white space of his canvas, paper, or panel surfaces.
