Hunt Slonem
Born in Maine, Hunt Slonem received a BA in Painting and Art History from Tulane University. Inspired by nature and his personal aviary of birds, Hunt Slonem is renowned for his distinct neo-expressionist style of painting. He is best known for his series of bunny, butterfly, and tropical bird paintings, all depicted with lavish color, thick brushstrokes, and texture. Slonem’s works can be found in the permanent collections of 250 museums around the world, including the Guggenheim Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney, the Miro foundation, and the New Orleans Museum of Art.
